Update on Hillary

I just talked to Kathryn, Hillary's mom...She asked me to pass along the status of Hillary and to ask for continued prayers.

Hillary had a stroke on the right side of her brain, therefore is paralyzed on the left side of her body. She can say simple words, such as; yes and no. She know her name and where she is. She can read and can receive e-mails, just click here. Her room number is #559 and she is on the 5th floor.

She is expected to get 90% of her language skills back, but may never dance again, which is devastating!! Dancing is her life. I'm just sick about the whole thing.

Please contiune to pray for her! She needs us!

wow... i was so devastated to hear about this. i just read a really great book written by brain scientist who herself had a stroke. perhaps you are interested yourself, but certainly make sure Hillary's family reads it. its called "my stroke of insight" by Jill Bolte Taylor. she also has a website http://www.mystrokeofinsight.com/
she talks a lot about how best to help recovering stroke victims and speed rehabilitation. from what i learned reading the book it might be likely that Hillary could dance again. i'll keep Hillary in my thoughts!

Hey Girlie,

SOrry about your friend and hope she will get better soon. Just wanted to say congrats on the little baby bradley he is such a cutie. I havent been blogging for awhile so I thought I better send a shout out. I love ya and hope to see you soon. We are going to Price for thanksgiving this year - what are you guys doing? Im so sorry to hear about your friend, I hope she gets better soon. It was nice to hear from you, I know nick will be happy to know how you guys are doing. Congrats on your new baby bradley, he is adorable. And I just love that little Audrey, she is sassy, and I love it. I added you on my blogger list thingy, we def should keep in touch.
