I lOvE poems, music and lyrics to songs.  I love finding the meaning of a song and I love singing to Audrey.  I think that I'm going to post the lyrics to songs that have touched me...I'm going to start out with a song that I learned as a teenager that I always sing to Audrey when I'm putting her to bed. (I hope I'm singing the right words)

STILL...no baby

I went to my Dr. on Monday and told him about my 12 hours of contraction's the day before, but obviously it was nothing since I was still with child. I was anxious to see how much more I had dilated because of how hard and close together those contractions had been. Well, my body played a dirty  joke on me because It only changed 1 freaking cm. ONE. Anyway, he told me that if i have another night like Sunday night then I should just come into the hospital and he wouldn't let me go home without a baby...so of course NO contractions since then. Figures. But if I make it to my next apt on Tuesday then we'll set a date for later that week, like Wednesday, to induce.

So here is my game plan to get these contractions to start...

Tuesday-Cleaned my whole house (bathrooms, floors, vacuumed, dusted, cleaned out cupboards), went to the grocery store, walked to the park, re-arranged Audrey's room.

Wednesday- Taking trax to the Gateway with Audrey to see the "Elephant Walk",gong to my cousin Ben's soccer game in Bountiful.

Thursday- I'm hoping that will do it.

Yeah, still waiting. So... it's probably NOTHING!!

How do I know?

So, I think I might be in labor...but I don't really know. The feeling is vaguely familiar and painful, but I DO NOT want to go to the hospital if it's not the real thing. How long do I wait for the contractions to go away if they indeed are going to go away. AGHH, I hate this part.

I just feel like he/she is trying so hard to get out. Ha ha

I guess here's the deal, I'll up-date in a few hours if I end up just staying home, but if no up-date by tomorrow then.....THANK GOODNESS!!

Aquired Wisdom

I must start out by thanking all of you that came to our "WEDDED DAY OF BLISS."  Trav and I had so much fun at our wedding and were so happy to see everyone that came.  I had a really struggled getting all of my thank you cards out and although I believe in time I did get everything out that I had recorded it took me months/years.  NO EXCUSE.  I today feel really sorry that I didn't show my gratitude in a more timely manner.

The same goes with the birth of little Audrey girl. I honestly have great intentions, but it's almost as if my life in this regard is paved with good intentions.  I, in most cases, could tell you what it was you got her or us, or if you came to visit at the hospital or at our house. At the same time all of you that did those things most likely did not get a thank you note. So here I am repenting of my ways and saying...

"THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!"

With the birth of this second baby I VOW to change my ways.

 

I was really shown a great example from my Aunt Cindy in these past couple of weeks.  She is mourning the loss of my Uncle and figuring out how to comfort 6 kids as well as get all their finances in order among 8 million other things. While she is dealing with everything she is FINISHED with her thank you cards for all that attended the viewing, funeral, for all that sent flowers or cards. She is done.  She is amazing and I thank her for her example to me.  Seeing her do this has truly changed my life and perspective.  It was remarkable the number of lives my uncle influenced with his acts of service and love. 

Cindy has that same ability.  She is a strong and spiritual and humble and faithful mother, leader and example. She is a great role model for her children as well as the rest of the family and people in her life.  I love her and thank her for all that she is teaching me by her Christ like example of love and gratitude. 

I have not had the baby yet...I guess I shouldn't be so anxious because I'm not even 37 weeks...ON THURSDAY!! But I am more than ready.  Maybe I'm just more excited than ever to find out what I'm having. I've thought that "IT" is going to be a boy my whole pregnancy, as well as my psychic client, but two days ago I had a dream that it was a girl.  I'm so excited thinking about the possibility of "IT" being a girl!

For Travis though I hope it's a boy...he is always SO out numbered.  His whole adult life it's been his mom, his sister, me, Audrey, my girl friends, GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS!!

I have decided that if I'm meant to have more than 2 children then this baby will most likely be a girl, because I can't imagine being pregnant again, but I also would most likely try again for a boy if I did indeed have a female child...

Audrey is getting so excited. Tonight we set up the swing and bed for the baby and her "babies" have taken them over. She is such a little mother, I love it.  She's such a fun girl...she's become such a dear friend to me over the past 3 years. I really feel like we were best friends before we were mother and daughter. I hope we can always maintain a good relationship.

Audrey, Brock & Noah

I stole this picture off Jamie's blog. Are they not just the CUTEST cousins?! Brock is so cute!! He is growing up so much! I sometimes have a hard time remembering that he's not just a baby. Jamie and I were talking about this yesterday...to me it seems like Audrey was this exact age when Brock was born.  This is a picture taken when he was only one week old...I know she has changed a little bit, but it seems like she is the exact same person, wearing the same clothes (she really is) saying the same things.  It's just crazy to me that Jamie already has another babe. Good for her. Maybe I won't be so scared next time, maybe I won't wait 3.5 years!!

Baby Foster update

For a little Baby Foster update...we are getting excited for this babe to come. We've had some "experiences" in the past two weeks, but things are looking better.

This babe has a condition called PAC, Premature Atria Contractions, which means there is an extra heart beat in the Atria (the top half of the heart) After getting an eco cardiogram of the babies heart on Wednesday we learned that it is totally fine to let this come when it wants, or when my doctor wants to LET me deliver. So we are happy about that. Ya know...1 million dollars later and 3 times being admitted to the labor and delivery at 2 different hospitals. CRAZY!!
