My Little Birthday

It's my birthday, it's my birthday, it's my birthday!!

Today I turn 25. I am the last one of my friends from high school that turns 25. I finally feel like a grown up or something. It seems like anything under 25 sounds as young as 19. When I would tell people that I was married and had a little girl and then that I was 22, 23  or 24 they would always say...you're SO young!!" Anyway...Maybe that will change now. Maybe not.

Last night Trav's mom watched Audrey while Trav took me to the Cheesecake Factory. It was so great! We walked over to the mall and it was so much fun to just be alone with TRAVIE WAVIE. We haven't been alone like that together in a really long time. Life seems to be so busy. Work takes up most of our family life, so whenever there is time away from work we like to spend it all together (with Audrey or friends or extended family) But it was SO much fun just to be alone, and hold hands walking down the mall instead of pushing a stroller or chasing Miss Thang all over the place.

GOOD TIMES!

He and Audrey also gave me a Kitchen Aid Mixer. I'm so excited to use it. I asked for either that or a WII, so I guess the WII will have to wait for Christmas.

Have I mentioned that I want to have this baby right this second?!

My brother Michael leaves for his mission on Wednesday to Phoenix, AZ. He's so cute. His farewell was on Sunday and he gave such a good talk. He's been so fun to hang out with lately, and Audrey just adores him. I can't believe he won't even be able to meet this newest addition until "the baby" is 2 years old...crazy!

Ode to the Chiropractor!!

I have never been to a Chiropractor before but for the past 3 or so weeks I have been suffering with Sciatica. I mean to the point that I couldn't put any weight on my left leg. Which made working ( I'm a massage therapist) almost impossible.  I was contemplating on renting some crutches because I didn't know how I was going to live my life for the next 7 weeks or so of my pregnancy.

Well, I have started working for a chiropractor, doing massages in her office and it just happened that we were meeting for the first time during my PAIN! She was interested in trading massage for adjustments and I'm SO glad!! My pain is much, much better! I mean I would have to rate on a scale from 1-10, for two weeks it was a 9 and now it's probably a 2. It's just amazing ot me.

So yesterday it had been one week since my last adjustment and I wanted to get another one before the pain returned. I took the advice that I would give one of my cleients so I went to get a massage to loosen up the muscles so the chiropractor could get a better adjustment. I went to a full on "THERAPY" massage therapist rather that a "fluff and buff" massage and I felt like I was in labor. I had to breathe through the whole thing. I had my low back (sacrum) worked and it was just the most painful! Hopefully worth it.

It's been forever...

Audrey started preschool last week and she loves it! The first day I took her, as we pulled up she said, "Thank you to dropping me off." that stinker wanted to just walk in all by herself. I seriously can't believe she is so big and so independent. I am loving my "alone time" though. I'm really just trying to get ready for this babe to come. Although we don't know what it is, I'm being obsessed with cleaning closets and painting rooms...I really do feel crazy!

I'm hardly working. (Thanks Trav for working my hours for me) I've really been struggling with sciatica and basically couldn't walk last week. It was terrible. I have about 6ish weeks left, I hope they go by fast, I really want to meet this little person. I think that not finding out has been so fun! I not only get to wonder about what "the baby" will look like, but I can fully wonder about all aspects. I know NOTHING. I think that if we have more babies I'll do it like we did this one. It's just been fun to wonder.
